It’s official, Travis and Jaimee have been invited to Blackpool! This spring they will be competing in the Theatre Arts Exhibition Championship at the prestigious Blackpool Dance Festival in Blackpool, England. This is an opportunity that few receive and Travis and Jaimee are looking forward to dancing, for their second time, in the beautiful Empress Ballroom at the Winter Gardens.
Travis and Jaimee recently returned from the Blackpool Dance Festival held in Blackpool, England. While attending the festival they competed in the Invitational Theatrical Arts Exhibition. This is an exciting event unlike any other at Blackpool because in order to compete the couple must receive a personal invitation from the organizers of the festival. This year 9 couples were invited to participate, 2 of which declined. After a near flawless performance, Travis and Jaimee were awarded 4th place for their “Dreamed a Dream” solo. To date this is Travis and Jaimee’s biggest accomplishment as professional dancers and will definitely be a night for them to remember.
Travis and Jaimee are heading to Blackpool, England this week for the British Open Championships. The invitation to compete in the Theatre Arts division is a high honor, especially considering they are still in their first year of competing Theatre Arts professionally. Below is a video of the piece they will be performing at this years British Championships.
The Nevada Star Ball was another successful weekend for Travis and Jaimee, winning both the Rising Star Smooth and the Showdance divisions, and placing in the Open Pro Smooth. However, the most exciting part of the weekend was receiving an invitation to compete their Theatre Arts number in Blackpool at the British Championships by Mr. Len Armstrong. This is a high honor considering it is still the first year of this couples professional career, and the Theatre Arts division at Blackpool is by invitation only; in contrast to the Ballroom and Latin events that are open categories to any and all who enter.
